Always on a hurry? No worry, we at wham have got you covered with 5 minute makeup for mums or any busy woman by our lovely and talented Kim!
It’s Mother’s Day and what better way to celebrate them than to help them out with a quick and simple makeup routine. Not everyone is comfortable using makeup and let’s face it; the beauty world is pretty overwhelming with all it’s different choices, even I get confused and I’m a professional!
I’m not a Mum but I know for a fact that being a mum is a full time job and you’ll be lucky to even get 5 minutes to yourself, so this one is for you! I’ll be showing you just how I get my 5 minute face on with minimal products in a step by step video as well as instructions and list the products I’m using for those of you who are interested.
Keep in mind that this isn’t a full coverage makeup look but more of a quick fix natural makeup for busy women and those of you who aren’t into heavy makeup or much makeup at all for that matter.
So let’s go…
Firstly always start on a freshly cleansed face, moisturiser, spf…. you know the drill! Now for this look I’ll be using a tinted sunscreen so you can skip the spf step.
Instructions & Products:
Step 1: Conceal dark circles under eyes, I used MAC paint pot in “painterly”
Step 2: Even out skin tone I used a Tinted spf “Fotoultra 100 Isdin fusion fluid – colour” spf50+
Step 3: Set and add a little extra coverage, I used Mac mineralize skinfinish powder in “medium”
Step 4: Bring back some warmth and contour into the face, I used Nars Bronzer in “Laguna”.
Step 5: Fill in and shape Brows, I chose Mac eyebrow Pencil in “velvetone”; it’s the perfect cool tone.
Step 6: Make those eyes pop simply by adding mascara to your top and bottom lashes, my favourite is Maybelline “lash sensational”
Step 7: Give yourself a youthful glow by adding some blush, I used CoverFX “mojave mauve”
Step 8: Time for lips, you can do anything from adding lip balm to going for a bold colour, I chose to go for my everyday choice Lipliner by MAC in shade “Spice” and lipstick also by MAC in shade “peach blossom”
We hope you enjoyed these 5 minute makeup tips for mums as much as we did! Do you have any talents you’d like to share with us at wham? Contact us or send us an email at [email protected]
