quick wavy hair tutorial

Wham makeup consultant Kim shares her secret to achieving natural effortless looking curls in this quick wavy hair tutorial…

Hello Beauties!

Do you want effortless wavy hair in minimal time? Then this is for you!

Side note: if you’ve got dead straight hair then this isn’t for you. To save heat/time to get ready sleep with braids, 1 braid if you want looser waves and 2 braids if you’d like them a little tighter, make sure that you’re hair is a little damp and put in a little product to help mold the waves (Curling cream).

I’ve got naturally wavy/curly hair so this is pretty easy for me, in fact you will notice in the video that i only do the top half of my hair to save any unwanted heat damage on the rest of my hair.

You will need:

  • Heat protectant – my choice is the 12 effects by Milkshake
  • Wide tooth comb
  • Curling tong – im using the Texture Wand by Cloud Nine
  • A clip and hair band to keep any hair out of the way while styling
  • Argan oil – im using morroccan argan oil by Organix

Ok so to begin section your hair, I am focusing on the top half of my hair so I’ve tied the bottom half in a bun to keep it out of the way.

Spray the heat protectant of your choice all over the hair that you will be styling with the curling wand and comb it through, decide on your parting; I’m working on the middle parting today. Turn on your curling wand and set it on low (this of course all depends on the power of your wand). I of course have chosen low for minimal heat damage and my hair is pretty obedient when it comes to styling, the more stubborn your hair is the higher you will need to go.

When it comes to sectioning the hair for individual curls, no 2 sections should be identical; this is how you achieve natural effortless looking curls. I tend to curl my hair away from my face as the hair falls better. Once you’ve curled all your hair, you can let down the second half of your hair, put some argan oil in your palms and finger comb the curls to blend it with the rest of your hair and voila… you are good to go!

The options are endless and you can now style your hair as you please.
