Spring is upon us; the birds are singing, the temperature is rising and so are our hopes for an end to this temporary lockdown. On a brighter note; this year’s makeup trends are all about colour and sparkle, what more could you possibly want? I know we’re all slightly fed up of the current situation… (to say the least)
Of course, due to Covid and the new mask wearing lifestyle we’ve had to undertake; the focus will be mainly on the eyes. As usual, I’ve been scrolling on Instagram… a lot (you know how it is) and I’ve come across some stunning makeup looks that I think will be perfect for Spring; here are my Top 5 Spring Makeup Trends 2021!
Winged Liner
A classic yet bold makeup choice, the winged eye liner is always in style and can be adapted to any eye shape. It can be subtle or dramatic, the choice is yours and can go from day to night, this is a perfect makeup look to pair with a trusty face mask!
Fluffy Brows
This trend is all the rage! Gone are the days of the skinny brows; right now, the fuller, the fluffier, the better and I’m here for it!
Now, I’m fully aware that not all of us have been blessed with naturally full brows… I surely haven’t! But there are ways to fake it and I will gladly teach you how in my next article.
Dewy Skin
This has got to be one of my all-time favourite looks, it’s effortless and natural. But the key to this look is “less is more”; So, try and avoid heavy or matte products on the skin.
Dewy makeup can still give us conscious girls full coverage while looking “au naturel”. It’s all about clever application, it is basically a “makeup no makeup” look. To glam it up just add a pair of wispy false lashes and glossy lips.
Metallic Vibes
This gorgeous look created by “makeup by Mario” is such a vibe!
It’s fresh and it’s glamourous without being “over the top”. This look can easily go from day to night and those of you who are slightly more daring than the rest of us, just change up the lip to something a little more dramatic.
Pop of Colour
Ok, so… this trend isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but for you adventurous ladies out there, this one is for you!
The fashion world is getting bolder and brighter and so is the beauty world. Here we have a perfect example of colourful makeup without it being “overwhelming”. I know colour can be scary, but as you can see when it’s done right, it’s simply stunning!
