Nickie Vella De Fremaux Gender Quotas

During a debate on L-Erbgħa Fost il-Ġimgħa this week, lawyer Nicki Vella De Fremaux dubbed gender quotas as “insulting” to women, throwing the political solution under fire. To be precise, she stated: “I wouldn’t want anybody to give me a parliamentary seat or any other job just because I’m a woman, because I’d find it insulting to just fill up a quota.” Ironically, De Fremaux’s comments come within the same month that a 19-year old was found to be occupying a seat in FinanceMalta’s Board of Governors. This 19-year old, who has not yet graduated from university, is occupying a crucial position that would usuallyRead More…

Helena Dalli speech abortion ban Poland

Helena Dalli has been recorded delivering a speech on the situation regarding sexual and reproductive health and rights in Poland. The speech comes as a response to Poland’s recent enforcement of the proposed bill that bars women with non-viable pregnancies from seeking terminations. The overall legal situation surrounding abortion in Poland ultimately bans up to 98% of abortions, qualifying as one of the few countries with such highly restrictive laws. Helena Dalli speaks of the significance of sexual health, the constitutionality of the laws passed in Poland, and the right to receive high quality reproductive healthcare.  While this speech is indeed both commendable and truthful,Read More…

We sat down with Nina Lessi to learn all about them: how they’re different from regular sex sites, how they plan to shrink the orgasm-gap, how they empower women,Read More…
